KEIM LIGNOSIL® VERANO
EXTERIOR GRAYING WOOD STAIN
KEIM Lignosil-Verano is a mineral silicate graying stain for exterior wood façade cladding. Treating wood simulates an aged, grayed surface as it would look after several years of weather aging. Lignosil-Verano penetrates the wood but does not develop a film on the surface to allow the wood to breathe and dissipate internal moisture vapor naturally. It offers limited water repellency, and the mineral binder and translucent oxide pigments are completely UV stable. A chief benefit is the uniform graying of wood surfaces, regardless of variable exposure to sun and rain.
BENEFITS

Environmental Compliace
NATURE INSPIRED AGED WOOD COLOR TONES
Lignosil-Verano uses only mineral oxide pigments from nature, which are completely U.V. stable and will not fade or change colors. The natural minerals are particularly well suited to the graying—process and never look artificial. Coupled with a mineral—matte flat finish, the look is always genuine and “natural”, it never looks like a synthetic layer.

Please note the impact of wood species and texture on color. Rough-sawn wood develops more color per coat due to the more porous nature of the wood surface. Spruce wood in the colors at the top is “yellower,” and cedar is a more neutral color here. Photo representation of colors is also limited and varies from monitor to monitor.
