KEIM CONCRETAL® LASUR
Sol-silicate pigmented mineral stain
Sol-silicate based, thin-layer mineral stain provides a penetrating, low pigment or translucent finish when diluted with CONCRETAL® Dilution or CONCRETAL ® Base, or use as an opaque, thin-layer protective coating. This non-film forming, mineral matte finish will not fill-in surface imperfections or change the texture or feel of the concrete, leaving it very natural in appearance.
Benefits
- Sol-silicate penetrates and forms permanent chemical bonds—will not peel or lose adhesion
- Light fast, color will not fade
- Extremely vapor permeable—keeps concrete dryer naturally
- Weather and moisture resistant
- Not affected by pollution or acid rain
- Mineral matte finish is completely compatible with natural appearance of raw concrete
- Increases light reflectivity—concrete surfaces appear brighter, even in low light
Use for
- New or bare, aged concrete
- CMU block
- Gunite, Shot-crete, and Portland Stucco

KEIM CONCRETAL® LASUR
SOL-SILICATE PIGMENTED MINERAL STAIN
In contrast to highly plastic-reinforced systems, mineral products from KEIM – from translucent to opaque – emphasize the character of the concrete. KEIM Concretal-Lasur shapes concrete surfaces and maintains its effect for a very long time.
How the Concretal Stain System Works
Concretal Stain is two-component system that include Concretal Stain (Colored Part) and Concretal Fixative (Clear Part)
- Select your Concretal Stain color. You may select from monochrometone, single chroma artist colors, or most tinted colors. The Concretal Stain is fully opaque and concentrated. It may be applied without dilution to produce solid colors, but the thin and deeply penetrating features of Concretal Stain does not alter the “feel” or texture of your surface. The surface will appear “dyed” and not “painted” to the selected color, but the surface texture is unchanged.
- How much transparency do you want ? Mix Concretal Stain with Concretal Fixative/Dilution clear to increase the transparency of the stain. You choose just the right amount of color. Mock-ups are recommended to determine the proper mix ratio for your needs. Mix as little or as much Fixative/Dilution with Concretal Stain keeps the quality of the finish the same. You are mixing clear binder with the Concretal Stain – no the properties of the stain are not “diluted”. Never dilute with water.
- Apply the diluted, transparent stain to porous masonry, concrete, stucco, plaster, drywall, and mineral paint surface. Two coats are recommended to ensure weather resistance and color retention.
