Synthetic latex/acrylic paints can contain solvents, plasticizers, biocides, and antimicrobial additives, which can emit unpleasant and harmful vapors for weeks after drying. Moreover, these paints do not breathe, trapping emissions, vapors, and odors inside rooms. If the walls become damp, the moisture is trapped, leading to mold growth.
